1) Contact Schwab to request that your account has Thinkorswim enabled to allow for trades to be placed via API. Schwab also refers to this internally as the GREEN platform.

2) Ensure that your Schwab account has margin enabled and covered options trading approval. This applies for both retirement and non-retirement accounts.

3) Confirm that your Schwab account shows a positive Buying Power amount BEFORE logging in via Toll Booth.

4) Login to Toll Booth using your Schwab Account, then follow the instructions to set your preferences.
